Team Expansion for Techtron

BRC-accredited contract packer, Techtron (www.techtron.co.uk), has welcomed Chris Thomson to head up the technical team as part of an on-going expansion and significant investment in the Deeside facility.

Chris has 15 years’ experience in the development and manufacture of formulated products, mainly in the areas of personal care, household and pet care for brands and retailer private label.

From the role of development chemist with PZ Cussons, working on first to market projects, Chris moved to Stepan to work in the ingredients sector as a surfactant manufacturer representing international active ingredient manufacturers in the UK.

Prior to joining the Techtron team, Chris held technical and operations management roles for companies producing private label personal care, oral care and household products to major UK retailers.

Chris Thomson, Techtron, says:  “I am delighted to have moved to Techtron at such an exciting part of their growth and investment.  I have previously taken sites from unapproved to approved status for major retailers and it is wonderful to work in a state-of-the art facility.  I will be focussing on formulation development, analytical methods for product de-formulation and analysis, along with the evaluation of formulations and combining standardised laboratory methods, user trials and clinical studies.”
